As part of the Powell-Cotton Trust’s centenary celebrations, we’re inviting our local communities to help connect the museum’s past, present and future via a series of artist-led creative workshops throughout the summer.

From photography and film to screen printing and poetry writing, these sessions offer the chance to respond creatively to what you discover in the museum and its collections. Your work will then form part of a special community exhibition opening in October 2026.

About Molly Pickles

Molly Pickles is a self-taught illustrator and printmaker based on the south east coast of England. Her background in natural history and coastal landscapes shapes her distinctive approach to wildlife illustration and printmaking.

Over nearly a decade of trading at exhibitions and markets, Molly has developed a strong creative practice rooted in observation and experimentation. Her work explores the intersection of nature, pattern and colour – themes that run through all her creative output.

Sustainability and eco-friendly practice are central to Molly’s work. In these workshops, she invites participants to discover the creative possibilities of illustration and printmaking through hands-on, playful making.
