Current Projects
Zulu Collection
Following the success of Decolonisation and Practice, which led to the reinterpretation of the East African collections held at the museum, we are proud to continue our pioneering co-curation approach with the redisplay of our collection of Zulu material.
Members of the Community Advisory Group will work closely with the museum team and sector specialists, feeding directly into how artefacts and information are interpreted, displayed, and shared with the public.
Artist in Residence
As part of the Trust’s 100 year celebrations, PCT100, we partnered with Whitstable-born artist Sam Parsons to host his evocative and textural work above the habitat dioramas in Gallery 1.
Combining his zoological background and work as a fashion designer, Sam’s pieces are a contemporary response to the 100-year old dioramas in the museum.
