Wheels of Time is a fun scheme that encourages the exploration of museums and heritage venues for children aged 5–11-year-olds.
Each venue on the Wheels of Time trail is marked on a colourful map featuring the scheme’s time‑travelling mascot, Roamin’ Rex. The map is available at all participating sites, Visitor Information Centres and online, and guides families across Kent to collect badges and uncover fascinating stories from the county’s rich past.
Children can earn additional bronze, silver, gold, and platinum Roamin’ Rex awards by collecting multiple badges. Those who successfully gather all 53 venue badges during the 2026 season will also receive the coveted Wheels of Time Award Badge.
Badges are free to collect, though standard admission fees apply at individual venues. Up‑to‑date opening times and prices are available at the Kent Wheels of Time official website.
Kent has 53 participating museums and heritage venues for you to visit, includin the Powell-Cotton Museum and our neighbouring Thanet venues the RAF Spitfire & Hurricane Memorial Museum, the RAF Manston History Museum, the Crab Museum and Ramsgate Tunnels.
