*Please Note: When looking at published research, many scientists use the term “same-sex sexual behaviour”, or SSSB. For the tour, we decided to use Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual behaviour, because these are terms people are likely to be familiar with. When it comes to trans* animals, researchers in the past have used a variety of terms, such as transverstite or transsexual. As these terms mean slightly different things, the decision was to use trans* as an umbrella term, highlighting the transitioning of the animal rather than any specific identity.
