Home Educators Event Cancellation – Thursday’s Big Museum Print

Due to the exceptionally high temperatures forecast for Thursday, with temperatures expected to reach 35°C and above, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this week’s Big Museum Print session.

The safety and wellbeing of our families, volunteers, and staff is our priority, and we don’t want anyone becoming overheated in the extreme weather. We’d much rather everyone stayed cool and comfortable at home.

We’re very sorry for any disappointment this may cause, but we hope you’ll understand our decision. We will look at rescheduling the event for later in the year and will share details as soon as we can.

Our Home Education Days offer a relaxed and engaging way for home-educating families to explore the museum through themed activities, hands-on crafts, and discovery. Each session focuses on a different topic inspired by the our collections, nature and creativity.

On Home Education Days, the museum will be closed to the general public and open only to the Home Education group, creating a welcoming and relaxed learning environment for children to learn through making, exploring and asking questions in a supportive environment designed especially for home-educated learners.

All sessions run from 10 am – 2 pm. 10 am – 11 am is a quiet hour.
