Projects

Take a look at the projects we’re currently working on and those we’ve created in the past.

From gallery refurbishments to collaborations with community groups, artists and academics, our projects connect people with our collections and spaces in meaningful and considered ways.

Current Projects

Zulu Collection

Building on the success of Decolonisation in Practice, which reinterpreted the museum’s East African collections, this approach continues through a collaborative co-curation approach with the Zulu collection.

Working alongside the Collections team and Zulu specialists, the Community Advisory Group has helped reinterpret artefacts collected in 1935 from Zululand, placing greater emphasis on community-led perspectives and the voices of source communities.
