There has been more visible progress this week. The scaffolding build for phase 1 is now complete including the temporary roof covering which will allow works to continue in most weathers. On Friday the scaffolding was wrapped in a photograph of the outside of the building.

A significant part of our planning for this project was to consider the impact on the visitor experience. We welcome to visitors to the museum and gardens but we also share our space with Felicity’s café and Weddings and Events at Quex.

We want the café visitors and the wedding parties to still enjoy the setting of our unique venue. We hope you agree that the wrap on the scaffolding really helps maintain the presentation of the space.

Please do continue to visit and support both our museum and our friends at Felicity’s Cafe throughout this project and we promise we will do all we can to make your visit enjoyable.

With thanks to Hedley Basford photography, Charlotte Pryke at Lee Evans Partnership as well as Goodsell and Son for supporting us in maintaining the visitor experience throughout this project.
