Whilst we are closed for day-to-day visits, we are open for learning visits for both schools and home-educating families on certain days.
We are excited to invite home-educating families for an exclusive visit to the Museum and Gardens on Wednesday 9th June. Our learning team will be on hand during the day to chat to you about your needs and the things you’d like to see us develop. We will be launching a new dedicated series of activities for home learners later this year, and would love your input to make sure it meets your learning needs.
Whilst here, take the opportunity to visit the museum galleries, view the dioramas and explore the gardens and woodland, and picnic on the lawns. This is a ticketed open day and pre-booking is essential by emailing: email@example.com

When can we visit?
At the moment we have one planned home-educators visit day in the diary. We hope you will join us on this date, but if you can’t we hope to release more dates this year. Please note the museum, house and gardens are currently closed for 2 years whilst we undertake our reimagining programme. We will be open for special events, school visits and other learning visits on specified dates.
Will we have exclusive use of the museum during our visit?
The museum, house and gardens are currently closed for day to day visits whilst we undertake a programme of re-imagining. During this time, capacities for visits will be strictly adhered to. On home educator visits day, other home educating families will be visiting. You may also see museum staff, researchers or volunteers during your visit. If you do see someone at work, please say and hello and ask us questions about what we are doing, we’re a friendly bunch.
Can we visit Quex House during our visit?
Quex House will remain closed for visitor access on this day.
Have you got a COVID-19 risk assessment?
All our risk assessments for learning visits have been reviewed in light of the current circumstances. When you book onto this event we will send you a copy of our risk assessment.
